Content Is The Key

Creating good unique content on your blog is the undisputed number one key to success. Generating traffic and a loyal readership will come from creating content others will read and enjoy reading. Creating good content on a daily basis can be tough and is why most bloggers give up after a few weeks.

What constitutes as good content?

  • Content that is solely unique and is not copied in any way
  • Content that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet
  • Content that has good flow and transition
  • Content that is easy to read and has no spelling or grammatical errors

Why is it so hard to create good content on a daily basis?

As I said before, creating good content on a daily basis is very tough and for those just starting out with their blog it is even harder. The reason it is so difficult to create good content on a daily basis is because you lack motivation. You are posting on your blog that you feel no one is going to even read. You have not established any sort of readership yet and you feel that you are wasting your time writing a good post and that is why you fail. You probably have one goal in mind and that is making money. You totally forget about that fact that in order to make money you have to have traffic coming to your website every day.

People that come to your blog are not interested in your banner ads or other streams of income. They are only interested in your content. If you deliver good content on a daily basis it will only take 50 to 100 people to notice your content and then the news that you have good reading material will spread rapidly.

Take a look at this video interview with John Chow, one of the most successful bloggers on the internet. Notice what he finds most important when starting out with your blog.

Why is it so easy for John Chow to create good content on a daily basis?

The truth is that is not easy for John to to create good content on a daily basis but you have to keep in mind that is his job. Like he says in the video, he does’nt write every post, he hires other people sometimes to write a post for him. You also need to keep in mind that he has over 30,000 people subscribed to his RSS feed that are expecting a daily post, so lack of motivation is not a problem for John Chow.

Creating good content was the key to his success so why not make it yours?
